Phuket day 3 – Results

Day 3 of the World Airline Golfing Alliance amateur golf tournament in Thailand saw 59 players attend the Laguna Phuket golf course. The weather was hot and steamy and the eventual thunderstorm with heavy rain and lightning appeared. Several players stopped playing but some stalwarts finished. Only 3 players, 2 women and 1 man beat their handicap. Nearest to the pin prizes went to Greg Gladstone and Janet AhSam.

Overall results:-

Male division – 43 players – Graeme Tearall(Aus) 108 first; P Freudenreich(Aus) 106 second & I Kennedy(Aus) 103 third.

Female division – 18 players -Julie Walker(Macau) 113 first; Sally Elliott(Aus) 108 second & Carol Barnett(Aus) 107 third.

Tournament entrants were from 8 countries.
