WAGA goes to the Races

WAGA will host a horse race at the Gold Coast Turf Club in Queensalnd, Australia, on Saturday, the 15th of March.

What do golf tournaments have to do with horse races? It’s an opportunity for the World Airline Golfing Alliance to meet and greet past and present golf tournament players in a fun filled environment.

World Airline Golfing Alliance (WAGA) is not in anyway related to the Women’s Alabama Golf Association. Having said that, should you be a female golfer in Alabama, then you are not excluded from joining one of our World Airline Golfing Alliance golf tours!

WAGA in Atlanta

There’s been some confusion with the folks that live around Atlanta, Georgia.

They’ve come to our website looking for a TV Station!

Sorry folks, you’re confusing us with WAGA channel 5, an owned-and-operated television station of the News Corporation-owned FOX Television Network and based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

The station’s transmitter is co-located with its studios on Briarcliff Road Northeast in DeKalb County, just west of Emory University.

For those golfers that live in Wisconsin, USA, please do not get confused between the Wisconsin Apple Growers Association (WAGA) and the World Airline Golfing Alliance (WAGA)

Wisconsin Apple Growers Association (WAGA). WAGA provides current legislative information, conducts education workshops, field days and promotes apples all year round.

The World Airline Golfing Alliance is not associated with the Western Amputee Golf Association (WAGA)- which was founded to help amputees and other physically challenged people build a sense of personal pride and confidence.

Waga Coat of Arms

We haven’t thought about a coat of arms at WAGA

Surfing on the internet we found that in the Polish language WAGA is the word for “Scales”

Waga is a Polish coat of arms.

It was used by several szlachta (noble) families under the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

WAGA is not a small village in PNG

In New South Wales, Australia, there’s an outback town named Wagga Wagga. To an Australian Wagga may invoke a certain feeling/idea.

In Papua New Guinea region of Alotau you’ll find a village called Waga Waga

Maybe WAGA should organise a golf tour to Waga Waga, that’s if the village has a golf course for our WAGA golfers !!
