The August Cup – Sunshine Coast
Will commence today with a registration at the Crowne Plaza hotel and a welcome BBQ later. Play will commence on Tuesday at North Lakes Golf Club, followed by Pacific Harbour and then Club Pelican. Forecast weather is perfect, down to 10deg C at night and a maximum of 22deg C during the day. There should be some great scores with guests from New Zealand, USA and Australia. Leading scores will appear on the website each day and photographs of the group on Friday.
Palm Springs – the drop in price produced an immediate response with an application for 2 golfers. WAGA still have space for those who wish to join us for this fun-filled event. Airfares from Oz to USA are extremely, VAustralia offering $574 one way yesterday. Palm Springs is a great place to visit and it is a good time to buy those Xmas presents.
Queenstown, New Zealand – coming along slowly but there is still interest in the event. It is a great time to visit NZ, airfares are at a record low and the GFC appears to be weakening.
