Great News – a first for WAGA members
In over 14yrs of running golf events, this is a first. The GFC or Global Financial Crisis has hit all facets of life hard and many of us have had to cut back on expenses. WAGA have noticed this with reduced attendances!
The La Quinta resort in Palm Springs has also felt the affects of GFC and in an effort to combat it, have reduced the package price of the WAGA La Quinta Palm Springs tournament to $819usd per golfer and $819usd per non-golfer. A single room has been reduced to an extra $375usd. What was good value before is now superb value and it is an event not to be missed!
2009 events. The August Cup on the Sunshine Coast starts in 10days and daily scores will be on the website. Queenstown is still open for bookings.
2010 events. WAGA are negotiating with hotels in Honolulu, agreement has been reached with the Radisson Hotel on the Gold Coast and the event in Vietnam is pending confirmation.
Other information – WAGA rely on sponsors and St George Bank, Sporte-Leisure clothing and PGF golf have been a source of major help. PGF have a new range of clubs coming in October and the Status P78 model looks like a winner.
Golf Vacations magazine, previously published in Singapore will be launched in Australia in October. The quarterly magazine will feature golf resorts, courses and destinations. The launch edition will cover Magenta Shores, the islands of Hawaii and Kauai, Fiji, New Zealand, Mornington Peninsula, Sunshine Coast and Thailand. Subscriptions to the magazine will place you in a draw for a trip for 2 to Honolulu.
