WAGA thoughts
Yesterday, I sent a bulk email to those who have registered with WAGA. It covered 09 and what WAGA stands for and and what WAGA propose for 2009! If you want to be on the email list, send me your current email address.
WAGA was formed in 1999 and its values were:- great golf courses, good hotels, different locations, good competition and most of all, fun! WAGA have not CHANGED their ideals but the world has changed for us. WAGA understand that these trips are a luxury but given that we have worked hard and long, should we not be able to enjoy this?
WAGA will continue to try to put affordable tournaments together and hope that you can join us at one of them. They will always be affordable, as low a cost as we can find, fun and a great meeting point for international friends.
2009.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 48 golfers and 24 non-golfers booked
Costa del Sol, Spain. 23 golfers and 9 non-golfers booked.
Sunshine Coast, Australia. 20 golfers and 8 non-golfers booked.
The Jewel in the Crown. Brochure being prepared. Palm Springs, CA, USA. In on 27/9/09 and out 1/10/09. 4 nights at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria property, La Quinta. Home to actors and travellers. Playing golf at PGA West Stadium course, La Quinta mountain and the Greg Norman course. (PGA West was the home for the recent PGA qualifying school). Total package around $840usd and limited to 60 people. Should be on the web after Xmas.
Queenstown New Zealand. Late Oct or early Nov. 4 nights at Crowne Plaza, playing golf at Millbrook, Jacks Point and Queenstown - less than $1000nzd…how good is that. How cheap is that…WAGA are doing their best to reduce the effect of the world recession.
So have a look at the events for 09 and we hope that you can join us somewhere in the world in 2009.
Happy Golfing
