World Airline Golfing Alliance race day

WAGA joined Lakelands Golf Club at the 15th March race meeting at the Gold Coast. Race 6, a 1000metre was hosted by WAGA under clear skies. Entrants to Phuket and Lake Como joined the group and had a perfect day. I am sorry to say that we did not pick the winner but a successful day was had by all who attended.

I have tried to publish the photographs of the day but have had a slight technical problem. I hope it has been solved and photographs published shortly! Those who attended enjoyed it immensely and WAGA may do it again in the future.

Successful Adelaide WAGA Golf Tournament

The Adelaide Golf Tour organised by the World Airline Golfing Alliance (WAGA) was a great success - and even more so considering the very unseasonal weather. South Australia is experiencing an unprecedented heat wave - which would have made the golf tour unbearable.

Fortunately we escaped the heat wave during our golf tournament , with temperatures of a maximum of 27deg C, all our golfers were able to enjoy the wonderful golf courses at Links Lady Bay, Tea Tree Gully and Grange East whereas now it is around the 40deg C and that would be a little tiring.

Thanks again to all involved and participants who not only had fun, great golf, a great social time, and made the whole event such a success
